Kick Account Setup
Start streaming on Kick in 10 minutes or less
Kick is a rising streaming platform known for better revenue splits and fewer restrictions than other platforms. Here's how to set up your Kick account properly and prepare for your first stream.
Step-by-Step: Create & Set Up Your Kick Account
1. Go to kick.com
Click the green "Sign Up" button (top-right).
2. Fill Out Account Info
- Username (choose your streamer brand)
- Email + Password
- Optional: connect Twitter, Google, or Apple
- Click Sign Up
✅ Use a branded name consistent with your Twitch, YouTube, or socials.
Step 3: Customize Your Profile
Once signed in, click your avatar → "Channel" → "Edit Profile".
Fill in:
- Bio – Explain what you stream and when
- Avatar & Banner – Use Canva or OWN3D graphics
- Social Links – Link your YouTube, Discord, etc.
✅ Pro Tip: Keep branding consistent with your other platforms.
Step 4: Set Up Streaming Software
Kick supports OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, etc. Here's how to set it up in OBS:
In OBS Studio:
- 1Go to Settings → Stream
- 2Choose Custom as the service
- 3Get your Stream URL and Stream Key from Kick:
- Go to your Kick dashboard → "Settings → Stream Key"
- 4Paste them into OBS and click Apply.
Step 5: Go Live!
Before going live, customize:
- Stream Title
- Category/Game
- Language
You can do this from your Kick Dashboard under "Stream Info".
Then in OBS, hit Start Streaming — and you're LIVE!
Optional: Enable Chat Moderation & Extensions
- Add moderators under Channel Settings → Mods
- Use tools like Kick Chat Overlay or Botrix for chat commands
- Install Kick Alerts using StreamElements or Streamlabs browser source
