Webcam Configuration

For newcomers, a USB webcam is usually the simplest to install and operate. They plug directly into your computer and are typically plug-and-play.

Proper webcam placement enhances your stream's professionalism:

• Eye Level: Position the webcam at eye level to create a natural and engaging perspective.
• Framing: Position your camera so your head and shoulders take up most of the frame.
• Lighting: Place lights directly in front of you to ensure your face is evenly lit.

• Resolution

  Set your webcam to 720p or 1080p for clear video quality.

• Frame Rate

  Aim for 30fps for smooth motion.

• Focus and Exposure

  Adjust these settings to ensure your image is sharp and well-lit.

• OBS Studio

  Add a new video capture device source and select your webcam.

• Streamlabs

  In Streamlabs, add a Video Capture Device source and fine-tune your webcam settings—just like you do in OBS.
