Music copyright

A song you like is not a song you can stream or edit into a TikTok. Use licensed, platform-provided, or original audio, and read the license.

The player in your room is not a sync license

Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok each have music rules, libraries, and detection. A muted VOD, a claim, or a blocked video is the usual result of guessing. Stream-safe playlists and the app’s own audio library are the boring path that keeps the VOD up.

A license for a YouTube video may not cover a livestream or an ad. Read the grant. "Royalty free" still has terms. If a sponsor requires a specific track, make them provide the license in writing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play a Spotify playlist on stream?

Usually that is the wrong tool for a public broadcast. Use the platform’s allowed music or a license that names streaming.
