A subathon, an anniversary, a charity day, a launch, a tournament, or a milestone is a reason to wear a badge. "Random Tuesday" is not. Tell people what they do, how long it lasts, and what they get, in a panel and at the start of the stream.
If the feature is in testing or limited, your dashboard will say so. Do not promise a badge you cannot create yet. And do not lean on gifts as the only content. The show still has to be worth staying for after the badge pops.
